Just Another Day

I am beyond appalled when I read and hear blatant hate

I am beyond incredulous by the heroism of some

I am saddened by the lives lost to raging fires

I am angered by the lives lost in senseless massacres

I agree with the mother grieving over the death of her son

She said no more prayers. Gun control.

I am embarrassed by a president who didn’t honor veterans

I am tired of his lies

And I am confounded by those who believe the lies

or worse yet don’t care
I am not going to keep quiet
