A Möbius Strip

Caught on the inside

Thrown to the outside 

and then hanging 

onto the rim 

with no way 

to get off

I have traveled 

round and round

on a painted horse

until the music stopped

and the wood 

figures froze

I sang “Here we go round

the mulberry bush..."

before I knew

it as a prison song
