When One Becomes Many

listen, i say to myself,
listen you can't read every story,
all the op ed pieces,
every single headline,
 listen, i say to myself,
 you can't sign every petition,
give to each place asking for a donation

listen, i say to myself,
you better follow everything with care

listen,
 I say to everyone with ears to hear,
put on your marching shoes,
grab a placard,
take care of what you have,
share it,
 don't hoard it,
don't fall asleep,
there are wolves outside
