who has not visited loneliness
in the midst of the clamor of a city,
or in the midst of a crowd--
who has not tasted a bitter word
or wondered what to say, yet
who has not tasted rain
or balanced on cobble rocks
or inhaled the aroma of spring
and not experienced intimacy
