Brussels: Another Terrorist Attack


what can any of us say
when another blast
takes lives, splinters
families, sends spasms
of fear throughout the
world, we repeat the
same words of sorrow,
we pray for those wounded,
we pray for the families
of those lost in this
senseless terror
we pray for a world
that isn't burying innocence
that isn't stirring up division
we pray that we may understand
what is incomprehensible
we pray for what we don't understand
we pray that we may find footing
that is tethered to God's love
