A Pond

A heron poses for a photographer

A model remains fixed under 

a graphite line or hatched ink lines

Weeds hear the wind and sway

A frog speaks to the sibilant sound 

and the sun pokes pinpricks of light 

Is this the way of design 

or does the universe ad lib
