when his cars stopped dead
rusted through so the road
passed under his feet,
a movie made of bits of rubber tires
butts dumped from an ash tray
empty coffee cups and McDonald
wrappers, they ended up in a pyramid
in his side yard, a sculpture
that no one knew how to discard
