A Partial Victory

A grande ice coffee
no sweetener, but
I really crave a latte
with foam spilling
over the rim.
Just this once
add that chocolate
delicacy. I'm nostalgic,
and it reminds me
of a coffee and croissant
at a small table in the Village
where we talked until
they closed and then argued
the merits of existentialism
on the D train to the Bronx
