Unaffected by the turning of
the calendar, change of seasons
or fickle sentiments or notions
Dateless in ordinary time,
but nonstop in recall
It is not nostalgia
that homesickness for the past
tinged with regret
It is an impossible wish
to rewind and wind the spool again
until the pieces meld together"
