A Dinner Conversation


I'll give you the words to say
Remind you of what's important
Wait for you to figure it out

If you ever want to spray graffiti
or stand on a street corner
I'll give you the words to say

If you talk on and on, forgetting the person
on the other side of your words, I'll
Remind you of what's important

And when you wonder why the world
is the way it is, so one-sided, I'll
Wait for you to figure it out
