Remember
Three items and three different memories. The small polished rocks were found while beach walking at Point Reyes in California. We found a cache of these stones and filled our pockets. Today they fill a ceramic bowl. We haven't been back to California since then—about twelve years ago.
The clay piece was given to us by Judy. I think it came from New Mexico or Arizona. For awhile Judy lived in Leominister. We saw her at Spirituality—a group of women who gathered to discuss our spiritual paths. Then one day she told everyone that she was moving south to live with an aunt. We haven't seen her or heard from her since that time.
The background is a coaster. It was a gift from someone who no longer lives in this country.

I am always amazed at how memories are kept safe and alive by even the smallest memento.I have stones, pieces of rock salt and even a pinecone among my memory keepers.
It's the small items that trigger up an incredible set of b=vivid recollections.
